Annual Parents Day 2017-18

Today on 27th December 2017, the Annual Parents’ Day was held at Cadet College Hasanabdal. Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr Shahid Khaqan Abbasi graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Among other distinguished guests, were two distinguished Abdalians i.e Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Defense Minister Khurram Dastagir, Governor Punjab Malik M. Rafiq Rajwana and many other Ministers and Members of National and Punjab Assembly.

The Prime Minister reviewed the Annual Parade in the College Parade Ground. Following the Parade, PT Show, Gymnastics Show and Riding Display were performed by the cadets, which were a testimony of the hard work of the instructors done throughout the year.

The Principal Maj Gen (Rt) Najeeb Tariq HI(M) presented his annual report in which he thanked the worthy Chief Guest for sparing his precious time for the occasion. In his report, he mentioned a wide range of curricular, extra-curricular and co-curricular activities which are an essential part of the college training design. He also made a mention of the phenomenal results produced by the cadets and commended the efforts of college intelligentsia. 

Then the Prime Minister gave away the prizes to the cadets. The award of Champions Trophy was given to Liaqat Wing while Iqbal Wing received Runners Up Trophy.

The Chief Guest spoke to the audience. He appraised the standards of the parade, gymnastics, PT and Horse Riding. He showed his satisfaction on the excellent results and a number of other achievements made by the Abdalians. He stressed upon the need of general welfare, brotherhood, unity and integrity and said that the aim of every institution must be to inculcate these values in the youth of Pakistan. Appreciating the efforts of the teachers for the wonderful results, he announced two Bonus Pays for them as Honorarium. He also announced Rs 20 Million for the College Endowment Fund and promised to fund the extension project of the College.

After the function, refreshments were served and glimpses of delight and satisfaction could be viewed on the faces of the parents.
