Community Development Workshops (June 2017)

The emerging trend of Community Service in educational institutions all over the world has led CCH to launch a very effective Community Service Program in 2016. This summer, Akhuwat Institute of Social Enterprise & Management conducted highly effective and motivating workshops at CCH for two different batches (June 07 to 10 - Batch 1, and June 13 to 16 – Batch 2) of cadets after their examinations before summer vacation.

The workshops were conducted by two of the highly qualified and experienced resource persons of Akhuwat Foundation Dr. Shahid A Zia and Syed Hussain Haider who very devotedly imparted the spirit of community service and developed the passion of working for community development in the cadets. These workshops included sessions and activities on realization of self, volunteerism, time management, teamwork, leadership and a number of factors that effectively contribute towards community development. 

On the last day, certificates were distributed among the participants and the College souvenirs were presented to the resource persons. The resource persons presented gifts to the best performing cadets in different activities during the workshops. They also presented to the Principal and the community service management staff, copies of a book authored by Dr. Amjad Saqib, the founder of the Akhuwat Foundation.  

The Principal Maj Gen (R)  Najeeb Tariq HI (M) in his concluding address expressed his gratitude to Akhuwat Foundation for conducting very useful and much needed workshops at CCH. He appreciated the devotion of the resource persons who, while fasting in Ramadan, conducted the workshops with a very hectic schedule. He also appreciated the involvement of the cadets, the community service team and the other support staff of CCH throughout the duration to make the events successful. At the end the cadets and the staff had group photographs with the resource persons before their departure to Lahore.
